Help for Haiti

Students at Henderson Middle School are bringing coins to donate to an organization that will benefit the hurt, homeless, and orphaned children of Haiti.  Students may bring their coins to any Social Studies teacher until Valentines Day.  Please join us in this effort as together we can help make a difference.

Students 4 Soldiers

Henderson Middle School is excited to participate in a
Students 4 Soldiers Valentine's Day shoebox care package effort
for the military. Social Studies teachers sent home the attached
letter with all HMS students.  Click on the S4S attachment below to
learn about the details of the program.  We encourage and
appreciate your involvement as we show our support to our military.

Show starts at 6PM
Dinner will be served from 11 AM-5PM
Chicken and sausage gumbo dinner
includes a dessert, crackers or bread and a drink

Mock TAKS Test Schedule

Students at Henderson Middle School will be taking mock TAKS test on the following dates:

January 7, 2009 -  Mock 8th grade science,  Mock 7th grade writing
 
January 14, 2009 - Mock 6th, 7th, 8th grade reading
 
January 21, 2009 - Mock 6th, 7th, 8th grade math
 
January 28, 2009 - Mock 8th grade social studies

If your child is absent from school and you would like to obtain their makeup work, please call the school (981.6420) between 8:00-2:30.  Your child's make up work will be available by 8:00 am the morning after your phone call. Make up work can be picked up from the office.
